Yukatel will compete together with Dörr Motorsport in the 2026 Nürburgring 24-hour race. The race will take place from 14 to 17 May 2026. With our participation on the Nordschleife, we are continuing our existing partnership beyond the DTM in another racing format.
Design inspired by Michael Schumacher
The McLaren 720S GT3 Evo will feature a special livery for the race. The colour scheme draws inspiration from the Benetton B195 Formula 1 car, in which Michael Schumacher won his second world championship title in 1995. Characteristic colours and graphic elements are translated into a modern overall design and define the car’s appearance on track.
The racing suits are also based on this design. After the race, selected suits will be auctioned in aid of the charitable Keep Fighting Foundation.
In addition, an exhibition of the historic Formula 1 car is planned in the paddock area during the race weekend, allowing visitors to experience the background behind the design.
A driver line-up combining experience and young talent
The driver team consists of four drivers with different backgrounds. Timo Glock brings extensive experience as a former Formula 1 driver and long-standing DTM driver, while Timo Scheider complements the line-up as a two-time DTM champion with success in international endurance racing.
Ben Dörr represents the next generation, having progressed from karting through GT4 to the DTM. The quartet is completed by McLaren works driver Marvin Kirchhöfer, who has extensive experience in international GT3 programmes and regularly competes in endurance races.
Preparation for the race
In preparation for the 24-hour race, the team took part in the Qualifier races on the Nordschleife. The focus was on gaining further track experience and refining procedures under race conditions. The insights gained will be incorporated into the preparations for the race.
Continuation of the motorsport partnership
With our entry in the 24-hour race, we are continuing our partnership with Dörr Motorsport. Alongside our presence in the DTM, the collaboration is now also visible in endurance racing. The Nürburgring entry complements our existing activities and further expands our joint motorsport involvement on the Nordschleife.
